Dear Residents,

We have had people on the property every day since Saturday. We have had in excess of 30 people working at the Chelsea cleaning up debris and preparing for your return. As we found apartments with wet carpet or sheetrock, we moved your furniture and/or belongings away from the wet areas and then removed the carpet and/or sheetrock. According to the notes provide to me on each apartment, it appears that we successfully salvaged everyone's belongs leaving only no to minimal damage to your personal items.

We have repaired all roofs and sidings damaged and believe we have the buildings "dried-in" now. Now that the "emergency" part of our clean up is completed, we will be scheduling repairs to the sheetrock and carpet replacement. If you notice additional areas that we missed or mold growth, please let us know right away.

SECURITY
Many of you have asked, "are my belongings safe"; "is there a problem with looting". Please be advised that we do not have security on site and that we cannot guarantee that that your belongings are safe. I can tell you that the police are working extended hours and are patrolling the community very heavily.

ACCESS
There is full access to the property via I-10 to Hwy 69. Until, power is restored we have the gates locked closed except between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm Mon-Fri. If you plan to arrive at the property before or after these hours, you will need to call ahead or preferable email us to get the code to this combination lock.

RENT
Your daily rent for October will be reduced by 70% for each day the property is without electric services. You may pay your rent at the office on site Mon-Fri from 10:00am-4:00pm, in the rent drop slot provided in the mailroom or mail it to Gross Management's home office to:

Since we do not know exactly when power will be restored as of this notice, calculate your October rent assuming power will not be restored until October 11 (thus 10 days at 70% off and 21 days at full rent). If power is restored prior to the 10th, you can settle this up with your November rent payment. If it is not restored until after October 10th, we will owe you a credit.

COMMUNICATIONS
We are overwhelmed with calls from residents, calls from contractors scheduling repairs, processing paperwork so that we can continue expediting repairs and supervising the work with a shortage of staff. With this in mind, please understand if we do not return your call or email as timely as we prefer. Your help in using the website for as much information as possible is appreciated, using email as a secondary option of communications and finally telephone. When using email or telephone, keeping emails and calls as short as possible will help us communicate with more people as quickly as possible. We have set up a temporary cell phone at the Chelsea office until we have our onsite phones back on line. The number is 409-550-4325.
